First Day at School

Image
“No, I don’t want to go today.” “Nothing happens on the first day”. “Why the schools open so early?” And then the long faces from the time they are getting ready to the time they are off to school. The parents can totally agree with this scenario for the first few days or weeks. The First-day jitters are not uncommon. The anxious faces full of unknown fear, the perplexity or the inner turmoil of these young ones make everyone’s heart melt. Though the concerned staff members immediately make it a point to put them at ease however the anxiousness takes time to recover. The first week normally is emotionally challenging for both the child and the parents. But slowly and gradually it goes on decreasing till the time the child is adjusting with his/her surroundings. The children after spending a comfortable 1.5 to 2 months at home find it difficult to instantly cope up for a minimum of 5-7 hours with total strangers. The task goes humongous when everything

Delay in submitting assignments

Preparing Students for Future

Future is uncertain and unpredictable and as said by one of the futurists, Ray Kurzweil, “we won’t experience 100 years of progress in 21 st century – it will be more like 20,000 years of progress at today’s rate”, imagine the amount of input needed by teachers and the students to mentally prepare themselves for such a big leap. Teaching has always been synonymous to making a child literate but in the present scenario, we prefer not only making them literate but also making them aware. The ongoing significant changes from being just learners to being the decision makers about what to learn and how to learn will herald the education world. It would be taken by storm and unsurmountable changes and unthinkable situations would be dealt with. World Economic Forum strictly highlights the staggering gap between what people learn and what they actually need. The solution to this unseen blizzard would be opening our arms to it and welcoming the changes. Becoming what is expec
