Yes…..I conserve precious resources …..Do  you???? The energy crisis in the country is becoming graver by the day and it is every individual’s responsibility to save  natural resources. We need to educate and advocate the judicious use of natural resources and propagate resource conservation. Resource Conservation lays emphasis on saving water, fuel, paper and electricity targeting the young brigade of the country, as they are the ultimate beneficiaries of conservation efforts made by us today. “To waste, to destroy our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining in the days of our children the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them amplified and developed.”   - Theodore Roosevelt   Change begin within us. Stress Free Examination

“EXAMINATION”, the word itself insulates a feeling of panic and stress not only in children but also parents. For most of us exams means lots of revision, mugging up, four walls of the room, our table and chair and many sleepless nights. While preparing for it we meet with loads of stress. And as parents and teachers it is our job to see that the child is comfortable with the whole scenario. Few of the possible signs of stress which one can look out for are eating disorders, irritated nature, tiredness or sleeping disorders. If the child has suddenly started eating too much or has reduced on diet or if you are noticing some changes in nature of your child that he/she has become aggressive or too quiet. If you find your child tired or is always looking worried, take these as warning signals. A little bit of stress is good for the child to remain focused and motivated however the former signs are of excessive stress taken and the child really needs HELP. The best ways to distress y...

Shopping with Kids

How often do we go shopping with our kids? I guess, most of us like to leave them home when we are planning to shop for ourselves. We won’t disagree with the fact that when we are shopping for ourselves, the kids push us over to their stuff. And then, we end up purchasing their stuff and sometimes even forget to buy for ourselves something which was necessary. So instead of shouting at them or standing helplessly in front of everyone while they are busy showing their tantrums, one should try and involve them with your own work. Firstly, try and go for shopping less number of times. Secondly, when you prepare a list for yourself, ask your child to do the same. (Remember only things of necessity). Thirdly, Put some amount (small) in your child’s hand, pocket, purse etc. and ask him/her to shop from that particular amount. And also fix some gift, if they save the money from that amount. Then, if your child is creating a fuss over a toy which you think is pretty expensive or not...

Education can shape the future of any country.

‘Tomorrow’s Challenges shape Today’s Education.’ Education is not just one of the but the most important dominion of our national life. Needless to reiterate that education holds the key to development and progress in every sphere of our existence. It is the power of knowledge that fueled Man’s progress and it is the insatiable appetite for knowledge that keeps us advancing, moving forward and crossing into new frontiers. It is a general perception of masses that the students are the future of the country so it is necessary that students prove themselves capable to shoulder responsibilities in all the fields and lead the nation towards the correct path of progress. In olden days the requirements were limited and man used to do all the work manually as his mere aim was to survive. Consequently with the advancement of science, research and technology, the world is moving very fast and in fact has shrunk due to the effects of scientific inventions. Now the time has come to change o...

Summer Camp Importance

After a full year of hectic studies and pressure from parents to perform better in the academic year, students finally get the time to enjoy themselves. Yes, you all got it right. Here I am talking about Summer Vacations. Every child waits for it so anxiously. They start planning for their vacations a month before. There are many things a child plans for his/her summer vacations. Some visit their grandparents place while others join some or the other activity. Some students even try and complete their syllabus in these summer vacations. Parents’ also try and make full utilization of these breaks for their kids. Resources have confirmed that children who remain idle during their vacations tend to perform sluggish in their after break examination than before ones. It’s always good to involve them in some learning habit. The children maintain a routine life. They follow the same time table as in a school like getting up early in the morning and always coming with a view to learn somet...

Parents Expectation

Image
This particular posting is especially for those parents who are in stress at this particular moment for getting their child prepared for the entrance examination of any particular school. I can very well relate to all of them. As a mother of a 5 year old, I also went through the same tensions. The starting point is when you decide to send your children to clear the entrance of any top notch school of the city. As a parent there is no harm in wanting the best for your child however one should always keep in mind the child’s caliber. They don’t even know what you have planned for them but slowly and gradually they start feeling the pressure. Your sending them to tuitions at such an early age or increasing their study times when they learn more from their environment definitely affects their psyche. Your over expectations soon start showing signs through your child’s behavior. If suddenly your child goes hyper, or suddenly he/she has started misbehaving or started to take every work as...
